You are here . . . and I have held you at last!!!!
Both I and your Aunt Lissa thought you'd be a girl but others said you were a boy! They were wrong. I felt your joy the day your Mom first told me about you. I knew then . . . but I still had to wait and see. Now you are growing up so quickly. It seems like forever since I last saw you. You were just a few weeks old. Now you are almost 6 months. The time has flown. You have new little teeth and can sit up and do all these amazing things that I have missed out on.
I hope to see you before you take your first step . . . but if not, know that my heart goes with you. Go for it, girl!!!!

When are you coming?
Dear Sweet Little one!
It's time! You are about to arrive. Your mom is all ready. She tells me how much you kick and move. Way to go!!! We can't wait.
So do you know when?
Just think...soon I will get to meet you and hold you and cuddle you. We all love you so much - and you aren't even here yet. We can't wait . . . so come soon!

To my handsome Andrew,
Hi from Nana,
Andrew, it was such a special day...the day you were born. We wondered when it would be but you surprised us and came early. Does that make you laugh? Your mom called me very early in the morning and we decided February 23rd was to be the day. I jumped on a plane to head your way. Would I make it in time? Your Aunt Anita came and picked me up and we rushed to the hospital. It wasn't too long till you came. What a delight!!!! You had hair and every single toe and finger that you needed and even two thumbs. Just perfect.
Don't tell anyone but you came on your Great-Uncle Wade Sommerfeldt's birthday...quite a birthday present for him. So much joy and love fresh from heaven.
Welcome to the earth, dear brave handsome Andrew!!!!!

Going on a walk with Mom

Hi Sweet Little one:
I still don't know your name but I love you all the same. . . even more than you can imagine. I hope you feel my love.
In June you and your family got to come again. Uncle Tim was to arrive home off his mission to Chihuahua Mexico and everyone was coming home. It was such a happy time!!! Everyone got to meet your new cousin, Julia Jetti Jones too! Yes, she came! 3 weeks early! I didn't get there in time for her birth but I was there to hold her on her very first hour of life . . . and every day and night for quite a few more. She has light reddish brown hair just like her mother - who is your Aunt Charlyn. I'm sure you will have great fun together. . . It's great to have cousins.
So much happened that first week. We had a baby shower for Julia, some of your uncles went to Aaronic Priesthood Camp, we got a few loads of wood for Grandpa, and we had a family temple day which ended with a fun swim at the John's hot pool. Then the next day even more people arrived for a family party or two. We had a hot dog roast Atwood style on Saturday night and fed about 38...39 if we count you. Then Sunday, Julia was blessed in Church. It was amazing. Even Uncle Pat stood up with Uncle Reed's help. We had another big family party since everyone was hungry.
Guess what? You and your Mom and Andrew and Lilly got to stay with us five extra days. You see, your mom is my daughter...I carried her in my tummy just like your mom is carrying you now...and I love her very much. I miss her too. All of you. Your Dad had to fly home to go back to work so since it was a beautiful morning, we decided to take a walk up Nana and Gramp's hill. When your mom was living at home, we used to do it quite often. I thought you might like to see Mom and Lilly and YOU! Amazing! There you are. We can't see you much now but your mom feels you kick and move. We can't wait till you come. Another day we'll take another walk up that hill and you will come with us again.

Sweet Little one
Hi from Nana,
It makes me so happy to finally get to come see your family. We drove thru rain and hail and even snow and then more rain to get here to Seattle. All was dark and it was late. Lillyanne and Andrew were sound asleep but your Mom and Dad and Uncle Loren were all still up. I gave them hugs. I can hardly wait to meet you. I reached out to touch your Mommy's tummy and said "Hi Baby!" She smiled. Yes, It makes me so happy that you are coming...but almost sad that I have to wait to get my first glimpse of you and know your name. Your Mom took us around your home...it will be a wonderful place for you to come to. The yard is huge. Plenty of room to run.
The next morning we could see a bit more. Of course we knew it was yellow. We've seen pictures of the outside and glimpses of the inside. I love it all, especially the beautiful dark wood floors. We can slide on them so easily...the rooms are so spacious ...and of course there is more work to do on many things... but they've done so much. Your Mom put up new curtains in the Living Room. They look so nice. I have to say, though, the best part is seeing your family. Lillyanne and Andrew are so adorable. They are so grown up. Lillyanne's hair is so much longer and she has the cutest eyes and smile. It just melts the heart. She knows I am Nana. Andrew is 3 and talks so grown up. He explains many things to me. We got to run around the living room together and he showed us all his wonderful toys, including his train set. I have an old one like it at home that he plays with. I'm sure he will share with you.
Your Mom isn't very big at all yet...but we can tell you are coming. We are thrilled. See you soon, sweet little one.

I Found out!!!!!
Dear sweet little one,
I talked to your mom yesterday. She said she had finally found a Dentist that she liked...and the Dentist wanted to work on her cavities now since it would be awhile till she saw him again. Hmmmm! My heart jumped with joy.
I asked her "Are you Pregnant?" I couldn't contain my excitement. She said yes and then we were both laughing!!!! I said "I KNEW it!" Strange as it may seem the last time she was home I wondered when the next one would come but since she had said it would be awhile the last time we discussed it, I just ignored the thought.
So when we compared timing and everything, you were already on your way in your Mom's tummy!!!! I would have said Hi to you then if I would have known. I am so happy. Andrew, your big brother, already knows you are coming. Even your Uncle Loren knows. He is living with you and your family while he earns enough money to go on his mission. He is so happy. I asked him how he knew. He said your Mom was so skinny when he first got there but then she seemed to had added weight all of a sudden. He didn't say anything till she did as to not hurt her feelings. That was so sweet of him. Such great news!
Somehow I feel your joy as well. Could it possibly match mine? Could it be that I will have two new grandchildren to hold in my arms this year? I can hardly wait to meet you and your cousin.
What joy!
Welcome, dear little one.
Love,
Nana
